Thanksgiving

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was pretty darn good, I must say. Marty was off work - which is a good start to having an awesome day - and we did a whole lot of nothing. My favorite kind of day.

Of course, it would have been nice if the weather was nicer, but I'm not complaining (too much.) My mom sent me a picture of the snow they got in Ohio and suddenly our "Oh gee, I might need a sweater" weather seemed downright balmy.

Once again, we opted for lasagna instead of the traditional turkey and all the fixins' and the extra 5 lbs it brings. I made one big pan of traditional lasagna for the men folk and a small loaf pan of completely Simply Filling Technique (SFT) for me. Whole wheat noodles, homemade sauce using no oil and 93/7 lean ground turkey, no heavy cream and fat free cheese. It was just as good, and in fact, I didn't notice a difference. I ate a normal serving, a small side salad and a piece of SFT pumpkin pie. (Normal pumpkin pie made with fat free evaporated milk and no crust.) Equally as yummy.

For some reason, I really, really missed family this year. Not sure why. If only I could get my entire family to move out of the snow belt, I would be a much happier person.
